Beyond the western mountain
range of Vietnam lies its quiet neighbor - Laos. Bordered
by five countries, this land-locked country of stunning
natural beauty and strong spiritual tradition remains an
undiscovered gem in Southeast Asia. Upon entering
Vientiane, you will be surprised at the relaxed atmosphere
and small town charm of this capital city. Nestled in the
valleys of the mountainous north Luang Prabang lies a
former royal capital and now a World Heritage Site. This
enchanting city, dominated by golden-roofed temples and
bright saffron-robed monks exudes a spiritual essence that
will surely capture your soul.
Day 1: Vientiane
This morning we will take a tour of Vientiane including
the temples of Vat Sisaket, Vat Phrakeo, the impressive
That Luang Stupa and the Arch of Triumph. In the evening,
following the meal you can enjoy an evening stroll along
the banks of the Mekong River.
Day 2: Vientiane - Luang Prabang
This morning, we take a flight to Luang Prabang, where we
have a tour of this enthralling town visiting Vat Xieng
Thong, the Golden City monastery and the fine temples of
Vat May, Vat Vixoun and Vat That Luang. Later we adjourn
to Phousi Holy Hill to enjoy the excellent views of the
town and a great sunset.
Day 3: Luang Prabang
Visit the Royal Palace Museum followed by the morning
market and Ban Phanom weaving village. Later we have a
boat trip on the Mekong River to the holy caves of Pak Ou
including a picnic lunch before returning to Luang Prabang.
Day 4: Luang Prabang – Vientiane
This morning following breakfast there will be a transfer
from the hotel to the airport for the morning flight back
to Vientiane and your connecting flight out of Laos.
